TB Household Contact Screening Study
First-author retrospective cohort study analyzing programmatic TB contact tracing data from 19,668 household contacts, using multilevel logistic regression to identify which characteristics predict TB disease. Key finding: after adjustment, TB risk was driven by contact-level vulnerability rather than index patient characteristics.
Sex as effect modifier in acupuncture for chronic headache
Secondary analysis of Vickers et al. (BMJ 2004, n=301) testing whether sex modifies acupuncture's effect on headache improvement using three sequential logistic regression models and delta method-derived sex-stratified estimates.
Seasonal depression & student wellbeing
Convergent mixed-methods study (N=102) integrating PHQ-2 quantitative screening in R with thematic coding of focus group data in NVivo. Conducted quantitative analysis in R and qualitative thematic coding in NVivo to identify seasonal, academic, and social factors influencing student wellbeing.
WNV vaccine policy & clinical development
Full Phase I to III clinical development plan for a recombinant West Nile Virus vaccine, plus an individually authored WHO SAGE policy memo proposing tiered PRN-50 GMT correlate of protection thresholds for accelerated licensure.
Periodontal disease & gastric cancer
Two-part project: critical appraisal of 7 studies on periodontal disease and gastric cancer (6/7 positive associations; Mendelian randomization analysis found no evidence of a causal relationship), followed by a 30-year retrospective cohort proposal with Cox regression and full causal inference framework.
Sex-based differences in hypertension
Co-authored secondary analysis of 1,631 Framingham Heart Study participants examining sex-based differences in hypertension using chi-square testing and multivariate logistic regression in R.
HPV vaccine uptake & barriers among young men
Focus group study (n=8) applying the Health Belief Model across 6 constructs to test 3 PSA slogans, resulting in the Smart is Sexy campaign reframing HPV vaccination as personal responsibility.
Childhood diarrhea in rural India
Three-part series applying the Social Ecological Model across 4 levels to examine determinants of childhood diarrheal disease, culminating in an SCT-grounded intervention recommendation with peer support network design.
HIV care decentralization in South Africa
Analysis of Themba Lethu HIV Clinic data (N=2,772) examining 12-month mortality among patients down-referred to nurse-managed primary care, using modified Poisson regression and systematic stratified confounding assessment of 7 candidate variables.
Child stunting in Zambia: DHS analysis
Two-part biostatistical analysis of the 2018 Zambia DHS (N=8,744) examining wealth, education, and regional predictors of child stunting using multivariable linear and logistic regression with formal effect modification testing by urban/rural residence.
TB surveillance dashboard
Interactive Power BI dashboard translating 14 years of WHO Global TB data into decision-ready visualizations across 6 WHO regions. Individual contribution: the interactive choropleth world map (Slide 9) showing TB treatment success rates by country and year.
TB/LTBI household contact study design
Three-part proposal designing a hybrid prospective cohort examining LTBI risk among household TB contacts, from critical appraisal of 5 international studies through a complete design with dual diagnostic testing and a 5-dimension exposure intensity score.
Equity, merit, and access in medical education
Multilevel leadership case analysis of India's medical education reservation system applying 5 theoretical frameworks across 4 levels of analysis, culminating in a concrete hybrid policy reform proposal with governance structure and accountability provisions.
Faculty-supervised systematic review and meta-analysis examining MB2 canal prevalence across 78 CBCT studies spanning 20+ countries. Bridges BDS clinical expertise with epidemiological methods. Data extraction complete - analysis in progress.
